The oral/poster abstracts should contain the following information:
  • The "styles" (font, size, color, paragraph, etc.) defined in the template can’t be changed or the submission will be rejected and will need to be resubmitted before reviewers’ evaluation;
  • In the "Title of the Abstract", nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs all need to be capitalized, while small words like articles and prepositions are lowercase;
  • The first author should be the speaker;
  • The abstract must be written in English and contain no more than 300 words in plain text format (formulas are not allowed);
  • Optionally, you can include a few numbered references, but they should follow the IEEE (numbered) style;
  • Ensure that the abstract is concise and accurately summarizes your work;
  • Note that everything you write, from the title to the keywords, including the references, must fit on one page;
  • Use at least three keywords (keywords must be capitalized);
  • Before uploading, rename the file as "Conference Topic, Speaker Name" (attached as *.docx, not *.pdf).
Each author can submit, at most, two abstracts, one for an oral presentation and another for a poster presentation.

The workshop proposal should contain the following information:

  • The "styles" (font, size, color, paragraph, etc.) defined in the template can’t be changed or the submission will be rejected and will need to be resubmitted before reviewers’ evaluation;
  • The title of the workshop;
  • The names, affiliations, and email addresses of the workshop instructor(s);
  • A short bio (no more than 100 words) of the workshop instructors;
  • The proposed length of the workshop (e.g., 3 hours, 6 hours);
  • A brief description of the workshop objective/goals, content, and activities;
  • If references are included, they should follow theChicago Author-Datestyle;
  • The maximum number of participants (if any) – workshops with less than the minimum may be cancelled at the discretion of the conference organizers;
  • Any special facility needs (e.g. LCD Projector, computer lab, internet access for attendees, etc.).

The evaluation criteria include the overall quality of the workshop proposal and its fit with wildfire ignition causes.
