1st Wildfire Ignition Causes International Conference

November 18-22, 2025, Porto, Portugal

Conference type

This hybrid conference will be held in-person to enhance networking and online to not exclude those who are prevented from coming (e.g., USA).

Authors will be invited to submit a full paper for publication in a Special Issue
of a Scopus/Web of Science indexed journal (to be announced).

Abstract submission

Submissions are Now Open!

1st you must register yourself in the conference. Then, in the Participant Area, in "My publications", you can submit the abstract (or the Workshop proposal) using the form available under "New Publications".  In the "Participant Area", you can also follow the revision process, complete the conference registration, process the payments, book extra options, etc..

     • The abstract should be written in English and have no more than 300 words.

     • The abstract structure should consider the background, objective, methods, findings, and practical implications.

     • When submitting the abstract you need to identify the type of presentation (below) and the topic of the session (above).

     • Regarding the workshop proposal, it is also necessary to submit an abstract.

Please read the guidelines and use the proper template (oral/poster presentation, workshop proposal).

Types of presentations

  • Oral Presentations (15 minutes + 5 minutes for Q&A)
  • Poster Presentation (posters should measure  122 cm x 91 cm / 48 x 36 in)
  • Workshops(proposal submission is open, however, we can additionally organize some of them)
